This is n’t a huge surprise , since their visual aspect in sidereal day of Future Past was qualified on that film ’s time travel plot , but we now have the word of honor straight from the man himself : Patrick Stewart .
Stewart’ll be on Wednesday ’s episode of Larry King Now , but an early cartridge clip has Stewart addressing the question about whether he ’d be returning to the ten - Men cosmos . The answer ? “ No . Nor Sir Ian McKellen , either . ”
Booooo . I have in mind . Yes , it gain no sense for the two of them to show up in Apocalypse . But every time we ’re denied the joy of these two sharing a screen , level , exposure , pavement , what have you , it is a tragedy . A little less joyousness in the world .
It seems like , cast - wise , Apocalypse is going to follow First Class ’ lead and have only the new , younger plaster bandage doing prequel tale . Stewart pass on to say :
I was learning quite a portion more about it last nighttime , and it is going to be bet very much at the earlier lives of all our characters . And so I do n’t think we ’ll be making an appearance .
Sigh . We ’ll always have the dark , horrifying hereafter where nothing conk right for them , I guess .
