Life is good for Marvel sports fan these twenty-four hours . Just when you imagine thing could n’t get better than the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe , the Netflix shows are kicking ass , plus you have connection shows too . It ’s all been a great mixture .
But … will that coalesce ever become one ? That ’s the big doubtfulness . The movies have already had profound effects on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter plus , on the visible horizon , the Avengers will be facing an Infinity War in 2018 and 2019 . You have to think that ’ll switch not just the Earth , but the extragalactic nebula too .
Rumors had swirled that those two films , directed by the Russo Brothers , could be the place Iron Man , Captain America , Hulk and Spider - Man last cross over with the Netflix characters like Jessica Jones , Daredevil and Luke Cage . So is that still happening ? possibly , say the film director , but it ’s not a definite .
“ When we start to serialize the notification of stories it ’s difficult , ” say the Russos in a new interview . “ You have to have a lot of control and focus on the course of history . The films are controlled by a group led by Kevin Feige , so they work as a unit . Other products , even if they are from Marvel , are controlled by others . ”
“ Then there is the possibility of a crossing over , but it ’s more complicated . It is a smaller exfoliation variant of the problem that exists when think of that Fox defend the right wing to some of Marvel ’s most popular characters , as does Sony and others . As storytellers , we only have control over what happens in Marvel movies , but everything is possible . Spider - Man became possible ! ”
So basically it sounds like a crossover between the Avengers and Jessica Jones is n’t a chance , but at least there is a small theory . And that ’s because those shows control outside the umbrella of the Marvel Cinematic Universe . The floor weaving is n’t something that ’s regularly considered .
But , since Spider - Man is coming to the MCU , and he ’s a New York City - base hero , it would be pretty odd if he was n’t remark in the Netflix shows , or frailty versa in his 2017 solo movie .
It ’s also important to remember that while Jessica , Daredevil and Luke may not get to touch The Avengers anytime soon , they will be teaming up themselves . The aim from the get go of the Netflix shows was for them all to culminate in a crossover show called The Defenders .
