The BBC has just confirmed with abrand new trailerthat Doctor Who ’s 12th time of year will premier on January 1st , 2020 , on both BBC One and BBC America . The time of year begins with a two - part premiere special , “ Spyfall , ” which will see the Doctor , Graham , Yaz , and Ryan accommodate up in style to save the world and , y’know , do Doctor Who - y matter . Like facing crisis , battling alien ( glimpses ofthe Judoonandthe Cybermen , oh my ! , and leaving the TARDIS inappropriately park in shoes it should n’t be . From there , the season will air new episode every Sunday .
