If there was ever any doubt that this fresh moving picture is a prequel to Alien , this lagger should have nipped all those questions in the rump . Just on first glance , here are the Alien to Prometheus trailer similarity : the slowly build form of address , the copious shots of the distaff jumper lead running down a dark hall ( batch of dark hallways and darkness in ecumenical ) , Space Jockey starship shooter ( both interior and outside , more on that subsequently ) — and finally the raw poke also incorporate the shrill noises from the master . It ’s all just too rattling for words .

But allow ’s focus on Prometheus for now . The footage spread with a woman whispering “ You do n’t understand , ” over what could be a radio receiver transmittal , or a video log , her final telecasting log perhaps ? Also this sounds a lot like Noomi Rapace who is act the character Elizabeth Shaw , but who can know for certain ?
- cut to someone yell what sounds like “ Prometh , Prometheus ! ” then back to the dialogue *

This is the only negotiation we hear throughout the entire trailer , until someone set out screaming “ PLEASE ! ”
CUE THE STRINGS RIDLEY !
BOOOM , BOOOM , BOOM goes the freshwater bass , or cello or what have you . It ’s all about the ominous Jaws - esque clump rhythm which just pommel this video , hyphenated only by some sort of creepy-crawly digitalize scream ( which we mentioned was also in the Alien trailer ) . experience right . Feels real good .
And here is is , your first spaceship full head-on . Behold the halo of Ridley Scott ’s starship that will no doubt contribute this squad of IE off to their impending doomsday .
A ship ( perhaps the same one we just saw moment ago ) sprinkle the sky in an exotic wonderland , leaving a mirky happy lead across the purple atmosphere .
The squad gears up in their all terrain trucks and aphrodisiac alien - planet - exploring 4 - wheeler ! What is the squad looking for ? Well , the only veridical clue we have is the official synopsis which tell that the deal of scientists on the ship , “ describe a clue to the ancestry of human race on Earth , leading them on a journey to the dark corners of the universe . There , they must struggle a terrific fight to save the future of the human race . ”
Do n’t forget to pack the all important flame thrower .
Classic Alien Vertebra hall , just not as Xeno - developed as the ones we ’ve go steady before .
The crowd finds ominous stone face elbow room . If this turns into a “ four - toed statue ” Lost - similar kerfuffle that ’s never really , truly explained , I may just start throw punches in the picture theater of operations .
More shots of the giant humanoid - like head teacher . Feels a bit like a throne elbow room or entreaty room , does n’t it ? A hallowed space nevertheless . Is that elephantine I. F. Stone oral sex “ watching ” the little stick below it ? What are in the stone pegs ?
Fassbender , who plays David the reputed android , stands over one of the piddling endocarp peg , break them to be slightly larger than we expected . How much you desire to bet those minuscule statues contains one Xenomorph testicle , but we wo n’t find that out until the very last few scenes ?

If you take care at his helmet ( which we now know has their gens across their brow ) the last three letter of the alphabet are WAY , which leads us to consider that Logan Marshall , who play crew member Holloway , is the burn victim .
Absolutely no mind , but could this be the very big reveal that ’s expect for us at the closing of Ridley ’s movie ? We only see one character on the screen , right in the heart of it all . And it looks to be Theron . Ridley does n’t like to leave many survivor at the end , perhaps this is the big climax ?
Commenter lightninglouie steer out that this is the same elbow room as the giant Space Jockey ’s chair .
Possibly the 2d most interesting still in this whole trailer . Who is the person in the wheelchair that Fassbender is attending to ? And who is the girl who break up in front of ( what we ’re assuming to be ) is the infirmary ? Is this the mortal who is really pulling all the strand on this military expedition ? A rich person looking to cheat on destruction ? A penis of the Weyland kin group ?
On a side note , look at those hallway ! Nostromo Asaph Hall !

First tangible look at the classical Space Jockey elbow room … . WHO THE HELL IS THAT ?
Theron readies her best Sigourney . See the teeny lilliputian top she ’s wearing ? It ’s very alike to what the collapsed lady outside of the hospital was sporting earlier in this review . Hmmmmm .
This is whatTheron has said of her character :
“ I play this dame called Meredith Vickers . She ’s the suit that prevail the ship’s company that has nickel and dim this whole thing together , to fund this charge . Initially , she really was just that . And , Ridley number to me and say , ‘ Do you want to do this ? ’ I said , ‘ For me , to work with you is a really difficult decision to make , but I ’ll think about it . ’ No . Obviously , I wanted to sour with him , but I felt like the role was just a little one - dimensional . [ Damon Lindelof ] stepped in , and I convey on the phone with him and Ridley , and I threw very loose cannon towards him , with no specific approximation , but just need her to be more or less more superimposed . I ca n’t severalize you what Damon came up with , but he came up with some good turd ! She take up out one thing and terminate up another thing . That is the same bloody ship .
And then BOOM , TO THE GROUND . What will bechance next ? Probably Alien , but many years later . perchance .
