The Fujifilm Z33WP has a pocket-sized , beautiful guinea pig and for some reason , out of many camera , I choose to institute it on several recent trips . Size does weigh when trying to travel light , I hypothesise .
The Price : $ 180 … which is astoundingly cheesy for a lineament ( although not top line ) waterproof television camera .
The Waterproofness : Pretty decently rated to 3 beat . No accompanying shock or coldproofing , so this guy is strickly for pool and tropic snorkeling , not for C or deep activity .
The Image Quality : The sample shots I exact at the same time with other waterproof cams break a few things , but mainly , noise at anything but nifty ignition shape . And taking submersed barb near crepuscle , the Fuji triggered its flash before other tv camera did , connote a slowness in lens of the eye apparatus that even the 1600 iso could n’t overcome . And like most periscope internal lens set ups the edge around photos were not razor sharp . Overall , colour was undersaturated at time but photos were good in smart light as long as there was n’t too much demarcation to deal with . ( See : Hawaii photos ) There were an abnormal issue of shot ruin by crystalline lens smudges , which other camera seemed to shrug off . ( substance abuser misplay ? Well , it materialise to four z33wp drug user who tested this camera for me , so you be the judge . ) I love the variety of exposure style for different scenario , but the UI to switch between these modes is bury two levels down in a computer menu . There ’s fount detection , and digital handshaking diminution , too .
Video Quality : Does a max of 640 by 480 pixel TV .
Controls are WEIRD : The button on the back are laid out in a grid , and the ascendancy feel suffers because the push button have dual purposes in many case ; the hybridizing pad of paper also cooccur with functions like menu button , etc . And zoom buttons are judge W and T , for wide and telephotograph , which take me a moment to figure out and I continuously forgot about them . peradventure its me being mute , but I launch it slimly perplexing compared to the push layout on other cameras . But the in force news is that the full back , side from those button , is a 2.7 inch concealment .
condition : Man , no waterproof camera has ever slipped into my sack so easily .
The Verdict : For Budget types and Fashionistas that squelch around a little bit in the waves .
Small and pretty . Cheap , too .
Photo haphazardness , clumsy controls . With sunglasses on , mayhap the pic wo n’t look that bad .
