This year ’s surprisal hit Mad Max : Fury Road may have had Max ’s name in the title , but few would say it was his picture show . rather , most masses walk out rabbit on about Imperator Furiosa . regrettably , that wo n’t be the case for the continuation .
In a new interview , Mad Max writer / theatre director George Miller revealed that Furiosa does n’t appear in the continuation he ’s compose to Fury Road . Watch the video :

She ’s not in the Mad Max [ sequel ] storey , but in one of the story there ’s an interaction between [ Max and Furiosa ] . I ca n’t really say more than that because it ’s still in advancement .
Before you get all up in arm , there are several things to remember . First , the Mad Max universe that Miller produce has never really been about telling one big story . The movies link , but also support alone , so to carry over any major character ( other than Max , of track ) would n’t be in assembly line with the ease of the dealership .
However , there ’s also a hazard this will transfer . Miller conceived and compose two Fury Road sequels in the years he was waiting around to finish the first moving-picture show . In that time , there ’s no way he could have promise how massively democratic and beloved Furiosa would be . Plus , if he does get to make one or both of these sequel ( Miller confirms there are talking ) , it wo n’t be his next movie . It ’ll be a few years aside . So maybe he ’ll go back and change that as a nod to the fans . At least she will appear at some point .
essentially , it ’s metre to temper expectations about seeing Furiosa ’s story stay on . You ’ll probably get to see her again , but Mad Max is still the star topology of the Mad Max movies .
