The singer and actress, 23, is opening up about whether or not there is a connection between her sonHalo’s name and thesong of the same namefrom her mentorBeyoncé’s 2008 album,I Am… Sasha Fierce.
“He for sure has a theme song,“The Little Mermaidstar says with a laugh while chatting exclusively with PEOPLE about her partnership withCORE Hydration.
As for how she came up with her newborn’s moniker, Bailey says, “It was actually my boyfriend’s idea.”
“He’s the one who came up with his name,” she adds, referring toDDG. “We just agreed, and we loved it.”

Weeks later, in avideoposted on his YouTube page, DDG, 26, opened up about his journey into fatherhood for the first time as he called Bailey a “great mom.”

According to Bailey, her motherhood journey has been unlike anything she’s ever faced before.
“I’ve never done this before,” adds the “Angel” songstress. “I’m discovering so many different things about myself, so it’s like a dream come true.”
“And doing this with my sister, it’s the best thing in the world,” she continues, referring toChloe Bailey, with whom she makes up the duoChloe x Halle. “So we get to unlock all these new levels of life together, like being a mom and being an auntie, and it’s so cool and it’s inspiring. It feeds us.”
