Jay Lenois sharing why he just does not sleep much.The comedian, 74, made headlines back in December 2024 when he revealed he onlysleeps about four hours each nightduring an appearance onBill Maher’sClub Randompodcast. Now, while speaking with PEOPLE about his role in the new movieMidas Man, the formerTonight Showhost says, “I’ve always been that way.““I’ve never a big sleeper. I thought, ‘Well, I just gotta change my way, so say I go to bed at 2:00 or 2:30, I’ll go to bed at 11:30,’ and then I was up at 3:00,” Leno says. “Now I’m reading for three and a half hours before I have to do anything. That’s not working. So I just went back to my old way of going to bed at 2 or 2:30 and then waking up at 7:30 or 8:00.“During thatClub Randomepisode, Leno noted that despite his low level of sleep, he also does not drink coffee or any “hot liquids.““I’m just not a big sleeper,” he adds to PEOPLE, joking, “I suppose if I had a real job where I had to work hard, I’d be more exhausted.
