Taylor Swifthas donated $100,000 to the family ofLisa Lopez-Galvan, the mother of two who was killed duringWednesday’s mass shootingat the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.

On Friday, Swift, 34, made two separate $50,000 donations to theGoFundMepage that has been set up to help Lopez-Galvan’s family following her death.

Lopez-Galvan, 43, was shot at the end of the Chiefs’ parade in Kansas City, Missouri. The radio DJ’s friends confirmed her death toThe Kansas City Star, while her employer,KKFI 90.1 FM, alsoconfirmedshe was killed in the incident in a social media post this week.The Kansas City Starreported that Lopez-Galvan died during surgery after suffering a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

The bio on the GoFundMe page — titled the ‘Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial’ — describes Lopez-Galvan as “an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.”

“This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed,” the page reads.

Swift’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight endTravis Kelce, rode in Wednesday’s parade following theChiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl winover the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WhileSwift attendedthe Super Bowl game, she was not present at the parade.

“I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today,” the sportsman wrote in a post shared onX(formerly known as Twitter) Wednesday. “My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”

In a statement shared with CNN on Thursday, Lopez-Galvan’s family said they were “heartbroken” at her death.

“Lisa leaves behind her husband of 22 years, Mike, and two children, Marc, and Adriana,” the statement read in part. “We ask to please keep our family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of Lisa’s death while also supporting our other loved ones who were impacted in this senseless act.”

According toCNN, Lopez-Galvan was attending the parade with family members, her husband and children, when she was shot. Three other family members, including Lopez-Galvan’s son Marc, were also injured in the shooting, according to the outlet.

Lopez-Galvan’s brother Beto Lopez paid tribute to his sister on Thursday as he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper his sibling was“a very loving, caring, and devoted mother.”

“We have tragic situations like this one that occur unfortunately way too often and a lot of time individuals get lost as just statistics or numbers,” Lopez said. “She did a lot for this community and the Kansas City area, raising money for a lot of charitable events and organizations, and it’s something we’ll be very proud of forever.”

At a press conference on Thursday, Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves said the shooting wasnot terrorism-relatedand is believed to have stemmed from a dispute.

“There was no nexus to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism,” Graves said. “This appeared to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire.” The age of the victims ranges from 8 to 47, and at least half of those injured were under the age of 16, Graves said.
