A Tennessee man was found dead in his car hours after police responded to a shooting spree that killed three women and a teenage girl and injured another teenager.
Police in Memphis, Tenn. said 52-year-old Mavis Christian Jr., was the prime suspect in the shooting of the victims across three locations on Saturday, according to an initialstatementfrom the Memphis Police Department.
Police said Christian Jr., was a “known relative” of the victims, according to a social mediapostfrom the department, and that the shootings were related to a “domestic violence” incident.
Selise also identified the suspect as her uncle, according to the outlet. She said she found her mother’s body in their home.

Selise told the outlet that her 15-year-old niece “is doing okay. She’s up, alert, talking, joking.”
“Emotionally, she’s sad,” Selise said. “She lost her sister, her mother, and her grandmother all in some hours.”
Police have not discussed a motive yet and Memphis police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for further information.
